On April 27, 2026, in Bishkek, on the sidelines of the Fifth Meeting of Ministers Responsible for ICT Development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States, a working meeting was held between Khurshed Mirzo, Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Azamat Zhamangulov, Minister of Digital Development and Innovation Technologies of the Kyrgyz Republic. This was reported by the press service of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies.
During the talks, the parties discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in digitalization, developing an innovation ecosystem, and implementing advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence.


Issues of expanding cooperation between government agencies and the private sector of the two countries were also discussed.
Participants at the meeting focused on sharing experiences in developing e-government, supporting startups, and attracting investment in the information and communications technology sector.
The parties expressed their readiness to expand practical cooperation and implement joint initiatives in priority areas.
At the end of the meeting, the importance of continuing constructive interaction and strengthening the partnership between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in the field of digitalization and innovative technologies was emphasized.
