The Tajikistan Chess Federation awarded cash prizes to the winners of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations Open Cup, recognizing the national team's success on the international stage. The Tajikistan Chess Federation announced this.
The tournament took place on April 22–23, 2026, in Almaty and brought together teams from countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Representatives of parliaments and government agencies participated in the competition, giving the tournament a special status, combining elements of sport and interstate cooperation.

The Tajikistan team demonstrated a confident performance and took first place in the team standings, ahead of competitors from other CIS countries.
In recognition of their achievements, the Tajikistan Chess Federation has decided to reward the winners with cash prizes. Federation representatives believe such measures contribute to the development of chess, increase athletes' motivation, and strengthen the country's position on the international chess scene.
