Iran has agreed to a second round of talks with the United States. Iranian and American negotiating teams will travel to Islamabad to participate in peace talks, The Wall Street Journal and CNN reported, citing sources.
Tehran had previously refused to participate in the negotiations, citing US actions related to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
According to American media, Iranian and American delegations plan to meet in Islamabad on Wednesday, April 22, for peace talks.
US Vice President J.D. Vance will reportedly leave Washington for Pakistan on April 21 to participate in a new round of talks with representatives of the Islamic Republic.
At the same time, participants in the negotiation process on both sides characterize the current situation surrounding the upcoming meetings as unstable.
