Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali congratulated residents on Capital Day, addressing his compatriots with a celebratory message.
In his address, he emphasized that Dushanbe is not only the country's capital, but also its administrative center and a key driver of sustainable development, innovation, and international cooperation.
According to him, the city, which he called the center of hope for the Tajik people, has strengthened its position among modern, safe, and dynamically developing capitals in the region and around the world. This was made possible thanks to the leadership of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the efforts of the city's residents.
It is noted that over the past ten years, the implementation of urban development, socioeconomic, and technological programs has resulted in the creation of a modern urban environment, improved service levels, and a better quality of life for the population. These changes, he estimates, have made Dushanbe attractive to residents, visitors, and international partners alike.
The address also emphasizes the capital's cultural and spiritual role. Dushanbe is viewed as a center for the exchange of ideas, the development of science and education, the strengthening of national identity, and the presentation of the country's cultural image on the international stage.
Particular attention was paid to the importance of civic responsibility. Rustam Emomali noted that the city's sustainable development largely depends on the awareness and conscientious work of its residents. In this regard, he called for contributions to the greening and beautification of the capital, respect for urban culture, and support for creative initiatives.
In concluding his address, he expressed his wish that Dushanbe would continue to develop as a capital of opportunity, progress, and a dignified life, remaining a source of pride and inspiration for its citizens.
