Tajikistan's Finance Minister Faiziddin Qahhorzoda met with Abebe Adugna, World Bank Regional Director for Equitable Growth, Finance, and Institutions in Europe and Central Asia. The Ministry of Finance reported this.
The talks took place during the spring meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, USA.
During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas for further cooperation, paying particular attention to expanding it in the areas of energy and transport.
Additionally, issues of attracting budget support through economic reforms, private sector development, and job creation were discussed. These areas are identified as key in the new bilateral strategy.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to strengthen cooperation in priority areas.
