Ensuring food security remains one of the state's strategic goals. As part of this goal, and in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, modern orchards and vineyards are being created in the cities and districts of Sughd Region using unused land and hilly areas. This was reported by the press service of the Governor of Sughd Region.
At the same time, farmers and residents of the region effectively use every plot of land, cultivating and producing various types of agricultural products.

During a working visit to Istaravshan, Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda inspected the progress of fieldwork. Specifically, he visited sites where a 5-hectare orchard is being restored and where potatoes are being planted in the village of Kuhandij in the Zarhalol jamoat.

According to responsible officials, these farms place particular emphasis on properly organizing cropping patterns, efficiently using land, creating orchards and vineyards, increasing agricultural production volumes, and integrating unused land into agricultural production.
At the end of his working visit, Rajab Akhmadzoda visited a number of labor veterans and presented them with gifts on behalf of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
