In Tajikistan, doctors reported performing a new surgical procedure using modern equipment. According to the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan, the development of the healthcare system in recent years has been ensured by the support and special attention of the country's leadership.
According to the agency, public access to modern diagnostics, examination, and treatment remains a priority for the healthcare system. As a result of the measures taken, the level and quality of medical services in the republic are constantly improving.
With the introduction of modern medical equipment, new surgical treatment methods have begun to be used in the country, expanding diagnostic and treatment options.
Doctors from the State Institution "Republican Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery" successfully performed a new operation using modern equipment.

For the first time in the Republic of Tajikistan, this institution performed an operation to create an anastomosis between the intestine and the common bile duct of the liver using a laparoscopic method, and also conducted a revision of the bile ducts using the Eye Max device.
The center's director, Dzhamakhon Akhmadovich Rakhmonov, and the head of the diagnostic and treatment department, Sorbon Musoev, reported that the patient complained of severe pain, nausea, vomiting, yellowing of the sclera of the eyes, darkening of the urine, and general weakness.
Based on the examination results, the patient was diagnosed with terminal stricture, cystic dilation of the common bile duct, and mechanical jaundice.
At the first stage of treatment, to eliminate mechanical jaundice, the patient underwent endoscopic endobiliary stenting – without an incision, through the mouth, into the common bile duct.
After the symptoms had been eliminated, at the second stage, for the first time in the republic, an operation was performed to create an anastomosis between the intestine and the common bile duct of the liver using a laparoscopic method with revision of the bile ducts using the Eye Max device.
The postoperative period was uneventful, and the patient was discharged home on the third day after surgery. He is currently under medical supervision.
According to specialists, before the introduction of laparoscopic, or minimally invasive, surgery, such operations were performed using the traditional method, with an incision 14–16 centimeters long, which increased treatment time.
The use of the new method allows patients to be discharged within 2–3 days after surgery and accelerates the recovery process.
It is noted that the center's doctors have completed training and advanced training courses abroad to implement this method.
Currently, the country has created all the conditions for carrying out even the most complex surgical operations.
Thanks to the introduction of modern technologies, citizens of the republic can receive high-tech medical care within the country without leaving its borders.
