On April 8, 2026, the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management signed a supplementary agreement to the investment agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Avesto Group LLC, and Artel Engineering and Management LLC of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Committee's press service.


The agreement concerns the construction and operation of the Artel Avesto Electronics household appliance manufacturing plant in Dushanbe, dated December 12, 2019.
It is noted that the project implementation includes three stages.
During the first phase of the project in 2019, the plant's production capacity was increased to 70,000 household appliances per year. During the second phase, in 2021, production of 60,000 washing machines and 10,000 televisions was launched, increasing total production capacity to 140,000 units.
The third phase of the project covers the period 2026–2028. It includes expanding refrigerator production to 100,000 units and increasing air conditioner production to 50,000 units. Furthermore, construction of a new manufacturing facility in Dushanbe is planned.
As a result of the project's implementation, the enterprise's total annual production capacity will be increased to 300,000 units.
The project is expected to create new jobs, develop domestic manufacturing, localize production processes, replenish the state budget, and efficiently utilize domestic raw materials. It is also noted that the project lays the foundation for the development of value chains and facilitates the country's accelerated industrialization.
