On April 7, 2026, in Astana, Kazakhstan, as part of a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Manuchehr Safarzoda met with Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sungat Yesimkhanov. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. Specifically, they discussed prospects for expanding cooperation within the Unified Energy System of Central Asia, the implementation of joint industry projects, and the exchange of experience in the efficient and sustainable use of energy resources.


It was emphasized that strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries could contribute to increasing energy security in the region, ensuring the sustainability of energy systems, and developing the national economies of the two countries.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue and further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
