Unstable weather with rain is forecast in Tajikistan on April 7 and 8, according to the Hydrometeorology Agency of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the agency, heavy precipitation will be expected in some areas on April 7, and snow is expected in the mountains above 2,500 meters.
Daytime temperatures in valleys and foothills will drop by 8–12°C. In some areas, westerly winds are forecast to increase to 13–18 m/s.
Due to precipitation, a rise in water levels is possible in the Yakhsu and Kyzylsu (southern) rivers, as well as in other rivers flowing down the southern slopes of the Gissar Range.
In addition, mudflows are possible in the foothill and mountainous areas of the Sughd region, in some places in the Khatlon region and the Varzob district.
