On April 4, an official ceremony was held to mark the start of construction and installation work for the "Construction of the Electric Power Network in Romit, Tajikistan, Phase II" project. The project aims to improve the reliability of electricity supply, expand the coverage of the power system, and create conditions for the sustainable development of the Romit region.
The project is being implemented by JSC TGEM as the contractor. Funding for the project is provided by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The project includes a number of key measures to develop the region's energy infrastructure. Among the most significant are the expansion of the Romit 110/20/10 kV substation, the construction of a new 110/10 kV Yavroz substation, and the construction of a double-circuit 110 kV transmission line to connect the new power facility to the existing power grid.

In addition, the project includes the development of 10 kV and 20 kV distribution networks, which will significantly improve the quality and stability of electricity supply.
It is noted that the project is of particular importance for local communities, as its implementation will create conditions for the phased electrification of a number of villages in the region and the connection of new consumers to a modern and more reliable energy infrastructure.

For TGEM OJSC, participation in this project is an important part of its efforts to develop the country's energy sector and implement modern engineering solutions in the power supply sector. The company views this project as a significant contribution to strengthening Tajikistan's energy infrastructure and improving the quality of life for the population.
The commencement of construction and installation work marks the project's transition to the active phase of practical implementation. TGEM JSC will ensure that the work is completed in accordance with the approved technical requirements, quality standards, and established deadlines.
