The US military suffered material losses amounting to $2.9 billion in the first three weeks of military operations against Iran, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Former Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Finance Elaine McCusker provided journalists with the corresponding assessments.
According to her data, the costs of restoring disabled military equipment and replacing damaged equipment range from $1.4 billion to $2.9 billion.
The calculations include, in particular, the loss of an expensive Qatari radar, which was deployed on the territory of an American military base in the Middle East.
Earlier, the Pentagon told the US Congress that the first six days of the war in Iran cost the American side more than $11.3 billion.
