On March 24, a meeting was held in Tashkent between the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sherali Kabir, and the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the talks, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of the objectives and agreements envisaged by previously signed interstate protocols on expanding industrial cooperation. They also discussed the advancement of joint initiatives in metallurgy, mechanical engineering, textiles, construction materials production, pharmaceuticals, and other strategically important sectors.



The parties confirmed their interest in the practical implementation of joint industrial projects. Further steps were identified for infrastructure preparation, the commencement of construction, and the launch of modern production lines at industrial facilities being established in both countries.
It was noted that further expansion of investment and industrial cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, increasing trade turnover, and sustainable economic development in the region.
