The Silk Road international tourist train arrived in Dushanbe for the first time on March 23. This marks the first time that Tajikistan has joined the train's international route, according to NIAT Khovar.
According to the source, a train carrying a delegation of 89 tourists from the Republic of Kazakhstan arrived in the capital.
Guests were met at the Dushanbe railway station by the leadership of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the State Unitary Enterprise "Tajik Railways", and the travel company "Somon Travel".

On the same day, a tour of Dushanbe, including a visit to the Hisor Fortress, was organized for the arriving guests.
The program included cultural events with national dances and music, an introduction to historical and cultural attractions, and a gastronomic section with national dishes.
The program was organized on the Tajik side by the travel company Somon Travel, which provided a full range of services, including transportation, a cultural program, and information support.

The project was implemented as part of a collaboration between the travel company Somon Travel and Grand Soluxe Travel Company from Kazakhstan.
It is noted that this project is seen as an important step in the development of regional tourism and strengthening interstate ties in Central Asia.

The inclusion of Dushanbe in the route of the international Silk Road train, which connects the cities of Almaty, Turkestan, Samarkand, Dushanbe, and Tashkent, confirms Tajikistan's tourism potential.
It is also emphasized that such initiatives contribute to the growth of the number of foreign tourists and strengthen the country's international image as a state with a rich cultural heritage, a high level of hospitality, and developing infrastructure.
