During the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 international energy exhibition in Delhi, Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Daler Juma, visited the pavilion of the Indian energy company Tata Power, where he learned about the company's latest technological solutions and investment proposals, including in the areas of renewable energy, grid digitalization, and energy efficiency. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the visit, the minister met with Tata Power CEO Praveer Sinha, during which the parties discussed the company's current projects in Tajikistan and prospects for expanding cooperation.


In particular, issues of possible Indian participation in the development of distribution power grids, the implementation of intelligent metering systems, and the management of electricity sales processes were discussed.
It is noted that Tata Power is currently implementing a project in Tajikistan under a grant from the Asian Development Bank, under which it manages the Electricity Distribution Networks company.
The main goal of the project is to improve the performance of the national energy company, reduce electricity losses and improve the quality of services provided.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further deepen cooperation.
