At a plenary session, the Federation Council of the Russian Federation ratified an agreement between the governments of Russia and Tajikistan on medical examinations for labor migrants from the republic entering the Russian Federation, TASS reports.
The agreement was signed in Dushanbe on October 9, 2025. The document was submitted to the State Duma for consideration by the Government of the Russian Federation.
According to the agreement, Tajik citizens intending to enter the Russian Federation for work will be required to undergo a medical examination at organizations authorized by the Russian Ministry of Health located in the Republic of Tajikistan, on a fee-paying basis. Based on the results of the medical examination, the relevant organization will issue a certificate that will be recognized in the Russian Federation.
In this case, medical documentation will be prepared and maintained in Russian.
It is noted that the entry into force of the agreement will facilitate the development of relations between the two countries and will also provide a legal basis for conducting medical examinations of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan for entry into the Russian Federation for work purposes.
