The next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states will be held in October 2026 in Dushanbe, according to NIAT Khovar.
Preparatory work for the high-level event is currently underway, and an organizing committee has been created to coordinate all organizational matters.
As a reminder, a meeting of the SCO Heads of Government Council was previously held in Dushanbe on October 12, 2018. The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Foreign Minister of India and the Foreign Minister of Pakistan. The meeting was also attended by the heads of delegations from the organization's observer states and representatives of several international organizations.
Following the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the SCO Member States in 2018, ten decisions of the Council of Heads of Government were signed, as well as two new documents on cooperation between the relevant ministries and agencies of the organization's member states.
