On March 4, 2026, in Dushanbe, on the second day of the fourteenth meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, the parties gave a constructive assessment of the results of the negotiations. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The commission's co-chairs, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Sulaimon Ziyozoda and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Tangriguly Atakhalliyev, noted that the meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation.


According to them, the agreements reached create a solid foundation for the further expansion of trade and economic relations and scientific and technical ties between the two countries.
After agreeing on all agenda items, the commission co-chairs signed the Protocol of the fourteenth meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.


It is noted that this document defines the main directions of further activity and serves as another important step in the development of friendly relations between the states.
The parties expressed confidence that the timely and effective implementation of the agreements reflected in the protocol will contribute to strengthening economic and social ties, increasing the volume of bilateral trade, and further developing cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
