Avalanches are expected on the Dushanbe-Chanak highway and in mountainous areas.

From March 3 to 5, avalanches are predicted on avalanche-prone sections of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway between kilometers 48–74 and 78–81. The Maykhura and Zidekh sections of the Varzob district pose a particular risk, according to the Agency for Hydrometeorology.

According to the agency, avalanche danger is also expected in the mountainous regions of republican subordination, as well as in the western regions of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.

Drivers and residents of mountainous areas are asked to take precautions.
