Experts from several countries participated in the conference "Women's Contribution to the Development of Science," held in Dushanbe. Represented countries included Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan, according to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The forum is a traditional event for Tajikistan and is being held for the 13th time. In recent years, the conference has gained international recognition. According to the speakers, such events motivate women to become more actively involved in science.
"The conference is dedicated to developing women's contributions to science and is of great importance to us scientists, as it provides a platform for young scientists to enter the global scientific arena and present their achievements to recognized scientists," noted Mukhiba Makhmadjanova, Chair of the Women's Council of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
Currently, two thousand scientists work at the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, a third of whom are women.
