On February 27, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister of Education and Science Rahim Saidzoda delivered a report on the Program for the Development of Preschool Education and Upbringing in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030, according to the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
It was emphasized that the program was developed to continue the accelerated construction of preschool education institutions, create a favorable environment for the education and upbringing of children, expand high-quality access to this level of education for the younger generation, and improve the professional level of personnel in the industry.
It was also noted that the program is aimed at strengthening the legal, economic, and organizational foundations for ensuring the sustainable development of the preschool education system, and its implementation is focused on improving the level and quality of education and upbringing of children.






By the end of the program, it is planned to build 800 new institutions in this area, and the coverage of children aged 3 to 6 years old in preschool education in the country should be increased to more than 50%.
Head of State Emomali Rahmon instructed the approval of the Program for the Development of Preschool Education and Upbringing in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030 and the action plan for its implementation, as well as to submit information on the progress of its implementation to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan annually by February 1.
It was emphasized that preschool education institutions should operate everywhere, including in the most remote villages.
During the meeting, a report by Mirzo Khurshed, Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies, was also heard on the Medium-Term Program for the Development of the Digital Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030.
It was emphasized that the program defines the future course of development of the digital economy in the Republic of Tajikistan through a clear and specific definition of relevant priority areas and medium-term objectives.
It was noted that 2 billion 366 million 800 thousand somoni will be required to implement the program. Financing will come from the state budget, the private sector, and development partners.




President Emomali Rahmon instructed the relevant ministries and agencies to ensure the implementation of the program and its implementation plan, and to submit information on the results achieved to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan annually by March 1.
During the meeting, other important issues were also considered, on which appropriate decisions were made.
At the conclusion of the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the head of state gave the country's government, ministries and departments specific instructions on the implementation of the issues discussed.
The heads of regional, city, and district government agencies and executive bodies were also called to the efficient use of cultivated land, the intensification of spring sowing, particularly for cotton, potatoes, corn, and legumes, an increase in the export of early fruits and vegetables, tree planting and floriculture development, the provision of electricity and the transition to a billing system for electricity consumption, as well as the intensification of improvement and construction measures in honor of the solemn celebration of International Navruz and the 35th anniversary of State Independence.
