Starting July 1, foreign citizens from visa-free countries in Russia may be required to submit an electronic entry application. This follows from a draft government resolution prepared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which RIA Novosti has reviewed.
Currently, foreign citizens arriving in Russia for work or study from visa-free countries have a choice: they can either notify their entry digitally or submit a paper application.
According to the agency's proposal, starting July 1, foreigners will be required to submit an electronic application, register in the Unified Identification and Authentication System, and provide a photograph before arriving in Russia.
