Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda met with representatives of the diaspora, Tajik students, and leaders of public associations of Tajiks living in the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Volga Federal District of Russia, as reported by NIAT Khovar.

During the meeting, the head of the diplomatic mission provided clarification regarding the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan, as well as the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to properly celebrate the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, in connection with which 2026 has been declared the "Year of Expanding Improvement and Creation, Strengthening National Identity and Self-Awareness."
The ambassador discussed the situation with labor migration in the host country and called on the leaders of public and cultural organizations to more actively present a positive image of the intelligentsia, scientists, and cultural figures in the media and social networks, as well as to hold scientific and cultural events to promote national identity.
The head of the diplomatic mission also emphasized that Tajik citizens must officially work in their host country within the framework of current legislation, as Russian legislation on labor migration is regularly amended and supplemented. Diaspora leaders were asked to assist citizens in adapting to changes in migration legislation and to provide legal assistance to Tajik citizens.
The meeting addressed issues related to combating extremism and terrorism, preventing youth involvement in extremist parties and movements, preventing drug addiction, and educating the younger generation in the spirit of national identity, patriotism, and respect for national values.
It was emphasized that preserving and promoting historical heritage is an important factor in strengthening national identity. During discussions with compatriots and students, issues of more actively engaging young people in the study of national history, developing domestic and international tourism, and strengthening educational and outreach efforts were discussed.
The ambassador noted that the Leader of the Nation prioritizes the education of the younger generation and youth. Raising children and adolescents in the spirit of national and universal values, love for the homeland, national identity and self-knowledge, as well as developing individuals with high moral character, a sense of responsibility, and creative thinking, are identified as the most important tasks of the state, society, and families. It was noted that through annual addresses and speeches, society is guided toward achieving strategic goals and building a civilized society.
Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda also stated that the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon views education and healthcare as the foundation for the development of society, emphasizing the need to improve the quality of education, train competitive specialists, and improve medical services.
At the end of the meeting, compatriots asked various questions and made requests, including regarding document processing in the host country and other topics, to which they received appropriate answers.
During his working visit to Ufa, the Tajik Ambassador to Russia also visited the Regional Management Center. This center is connected to a unified information system for the activities of the regions of the Republic of Bashkortostan and creates conditions for improving the quality of governance in local government bodies and overseeing the implementation of strategic planning decisions.
