There are objective prerequisites and necessary conditions for the creation of a unified expert platform within the Collective Security Treaty Organization. This was stated by Yuri Shuvalov, Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the CSTO Secretariat, at a seminar of the Center for Social and Conservative Policy, according to the Organization's press service.

According to him, one of the key issues at the meeting concerned how the expert community of the CSTO countries can and should use modern information and communications technologies to organize joint work, implement joint projects, and build closer and more sustainable contacts.
"I believe it would be right if we could begin creating a unified expert platform this year. The objective prerequisites and necessary conditions for this exist," he said at the scientific and practical seminar "Greater Eurasia: A Space for Security and Development."
Yuri Shuvalov announced that one of the events planned for this year will be an international conference scheduled for April. He stated that various Eurasian think tanks will be widely represented at the conference, which is expected to contribute to a unified expert platform.
He emphasized that an important task within the organization is to expand cooperation between experts and expert-analytical centers of the CSTO member states, as well as to develop dialogue with the scientific and expert forces of other countries that share the organization's positions.
Yuri Shuvalov noted that expert organizations across the Eurasian space themselves are demonstrating a demand for closer cooperation in the new environment. He recalled that this demand was confirmed last year, when all countries celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, by the Issyk-Kul Expert Initiative—a joint statement by experts from various countries.
According to him, the international expert-analytical events of 2026 to a certain extent continue the spirit of the Issyk-Kul Initiative, which he called important.
