On February 20, 2026, in New Delhi, a meeting was held between the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir and the management of the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), headed by the Chairman and General Director Dr. Subhransu Sekkhar Acharya.
During the talks, the parties discussed practical measures to implement the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan and NSIC, signed in 2024, as well as expanding bilateral cooperation in the development of small and medium-sized businesses. This was reported by the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.



The key topic of discussion was the creation of a Tajik-Indian industrial park, focused on accommodating joint ventures and entrepreneurship support centers. The parties placed particular emphasis on developing infrastructure for startups, as well as organizing joint educational and training programs for entrepreneurs from both countries.
The parties also discussed prospects for cooperation in the textile industry, including the production of high-value-added finished goods. A separate focus of the talks was cooperation in leather and wool processing, the production of competitive export-oriented products, and the development of jewelry production using modern technologies and engaging Indian partners and industry experts.



Minister Sherali Kabir and the NSIC leadership expressed mutual interest in quickly moving toward the practical implementation of the agreements reached. The parties agreed to continue substantive consultations at the level of relevant departments and business circles, as well as to develop a roadmap for joint projects in the areas of small and medium-sized businesses, industrial cooperation, and professional training.
