At an expanded government meeting, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon issued a series of instructions aimed at strengthening the country's economic and financial stability, according to the presidential press service.
The head of state emphasized the need to improve the efficiency of customs and tax payments, eliminate tax arrears, and transition financial transactions to electronic format.
The Government, the National Bank of Tajikistan, and commercial banks have been instructed to intensify the attraction of domestic and foreign investment, increase lending to manufacturing businesses, and ensure the stability of the national currency.
The meeting focused on digitalization of the financial and banking sector and the expansion of cashless payments. It was noted that the mandatory use of a single code for individual entrepreneurs will be introduced starting July 1, 2026.
In addition, instructions were given to ensure the timely payment of pensions, social benefits and the fulfillment of the state’s social obligations.
