There remains a high risk of avalanches on the Dushanbe-Chanak highway.

On February 17 and 18, a high risk of avalanches remains on avalanche-prone sections of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway (48–74 km and 78–81 km), especially in the Maikhura and Zidekh districts of the Varzob region.

The risk of avalanches is also predicted in the mountainous regions of the republican subordination and in the western regions of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.

Drivers and residents are asked to exercise caution and, if possible, refrain from traveling to avalanche-prone areas.
