On February 6, 2026, the fourth meeting of the Working Group of the Council of Ministers of Justice on the implementation of the Roadmap for the implementation of the Concept for the Creation of a Unified Electronic System for the Exchange of Information between the Ministries of Justice of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held. This was reported by the press service of the Organization's Executive Committee.
The meeting was held via videoconference. Representatives of the ministries of justice and other interested bodies from the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Belarusian Notary Chamber, and members of the CIS Executive Committee participated.
The main issue on the agenda was the consideration of the draft Technical Specifications for the creation of a Unified Electronic System for the Exchange of Information between the Ministries of Justice of the CIS Member States, developed by the Uzbek side.
During the meeting, state representatives discussed comments and suggestions regarding the draft Terms of Reference. Specifically, they analyzed the requirements for the structure, operation, security, and interaction of the Unified Electronic System with the information systems of the ministries of justice of the CIS member states. The importance of defining mechanisms for mutual recognition of electronic digital signatures among CIS member states was also noted.
It is reported that work on the draft Technical Specifications for the creation of a Unified Electronic System for the Exchange of Information between the Ministries of Justice of the CIS Member States will continue.
It is noted that the development and subsequent operation of the interdepartmental electronic system will create the necessary conditions for the development and expansion of cross-border electronic document flow between justice entities, and will also contribute to increased efficiency and productivity in the provision of legal assistance within the Commonwealth.
