In August 2026, Tajikistan will host the National Exhibition and Competition "Best Architectural and Urban Development Projects." The event is being held in accordance with the Schedule of Anniversaries, Festivals, Exhibitions, Holidays, Cultural and Educational Competitions, and Folk Crafts in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026, according to the Committee for Architecture and Construction under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The main goals of the competition are to identify the best projects among the country's architects, designers, and creative teams, to evaluate modern achievements in the field of architectural and urban design, to strengthen the social significance of professions in the fields of architecture, urban planning, and construction, and to improve the quality of life.
The competition will be held in the following categories: "Best Multi-Story Residential Construction Projects," "Public, Social, and Cultural Buildings and Complexes (Educational Buildings, Healthcare Facilities, Sports Facilities, Shopping Centers, Hotels, Administrative Buildings, and Technology Parks)," and "Student Architectural Works" for students and creative teams.
It's worth noting that 140 projects were submitted to the 2025 Republican competition in these categories. Experienced designers also submitted over 453 winning designs and models of buildings for various purposes. After reviewing the 140 competition entries, an expert committee selected the best works, the winners of which were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes from the leadership of the Committee for Architecture and Construction.
