Approximately 1.8 million foreign tourists visited Tajikistan in 2025. This was announced by Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, Chairman of the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, at a press conference on the results of 2025.
According to its data, 1,784,454 tourists arrived in the country last year. This figure is 27.5 percent, or 384,000 more tourists, than the 2024 level.
As the head of the department noted, the majority of tourists arrived from the Commonwealth of Independent States. Specifically, 1.634 million people came to Tajikistan from CIS countries. Another 149,900 tourists arrived from non-CIS countries.
The largest number of tourists in 2025 was recorded from Uzbekistan – 1,046,672 people. 396,475 tourists arrived in Tajikistan from the Russian Federation, 137,530 from the Kyrgyz Republic, 37,288 from the Republic of Kazakhstan, and 33,178 from the People's Republic of China.
