To improve the power supply to the economic and social sectors of the city of Buston, new power transformers were installed and commissioned at the Yumgon electrical substation. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It is noted that the new equipment was officially commissioned with the participation of the leadership of the Sughd region, the city of Buston, as well as the branch of OJSC "Distribution Electric Networks" in the city of Guliston.

The transformers previously installed at the substation reportedly had a capacity of 16,000 kilovolt-amperes and had been in operation for over 40 years. The installation of the new power equipment increased the substation's total capacity from 32,000 to 50,000 kilovolt-amperes, marking an important step in strengthening the region's energy infrastructure.

The implementation of this measure creates a reliable foundation for a stable power supply, helps reduce the load on electrical networks, prevent technological outages, and create favorable conditions for the further socio-economic development of the city of Buston and the surrounding area.
