Tajikistan has seen an increase in domestic violence complaints.

In Tajikistan , an increase in domestic violence-related complaints was recorded in 2025. This was announced today at a press conference by Bunafshi Fayziddinzoda, Chairperson of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan .

According to her, during 2025, the Committee recorded an increase in complaints related to violence against both women and men .

Thus, the agency received 3,609 complaints from women about violence by men , which is 367 cases more than were recorded in 2024.

At the same time, the number of complaints from men also increased. In 2025, the Committee on Women and Family Affairs received 590 complaints from men regarding violence against women , an increase of 36 compared to the year before.
