In 2025, the state-owned Tajikfilm studio produced 13 feature films, 7 documentaries, 2 animated films, and 2 short films. This was announced by the studio's director, Mahmadsaid Shohiyon, at a press conference on January 30.
According to him, during the reporting period, the feature films "Khobi surkh" ("Red Dream"), written and directed by Tolib Sokhibor, "Mohi baroi rafik Churchill" ("Fish for Comrade Churchill"), written and directed by Nigina Radzhabova, "Osheni nur" ("Nest of Light"), directed by Muhammadrabiya Ismail, as well as the film "Reshakho" ("Roots"), written by Safar Khakdodov and directed by Abdulkhay Zokirov, were produced.



In addition, joint film projects with foreign partners were implemented. These include the film "Pairokhai Khashm" ("The Path of Wrath"), produced jointly by Tajikistan and Russia; the film "Mohi Dar Shast" ("Fish on the Hook"), produced jointly with Iran and Russia; and the film "Durakhshi Akhtaron: Chomi va Navoi" ("The Shining Stars: Jomi and Navoi"), produced in partnership with Uzbekistan.
As noted by Mahmadsaid Shohiyon, the film "Shining Stars: Jomi and Navoi" will be presented in Tajik with Russian and English subtitles, as well as in Uzbek with Russian and English subtitles. Editing is currently ongoing in Uzbekistan.
The director of Tajikfilm reported that the timing of the film's premiere screenings in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan is currently being decided.
