Police have uncovered cases of theft in Isfara, the Farkhor district, and the Jomi district, and the suspects have been detained, the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
A 35-year-old local resident filed a complaint with the Farkhor District Department of Internal Affairs, reporting that unknown individuals stole his electric motorcycle on January 15, 2026, causing damages of 4,000 somoni. As a result of investigative measures, police officers determined that the crime was committed by a 50-year-old local resident, previously convicted under Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan.
A 37-year-old resident filed a report with the Jomi District Department of Internal Affairs, reporting that in October 2025, unknown individuals broke into her apartment, stole 225,000 Russian rubles and 2,000 somoni, and fled the scene. During an investigative operation, police detained two 19-year-old local residents on suspicion of committing the crime.
Additionally, during the investigative operations, a 47-year-old resident of Isfara was detained as a suspect in the theft. On January 11, 2026, at approximately 4:00 PM, he stole 9,000 somoni from a 41-year-old local resident at the Central Market LLC alcohol sales outlet on A. Jami Street in Konibodom. He then fled the scene.
Criminal cases have been opened against the suspects under Part 2 of Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, and an investigation is underway.
