Today, January 27, at 2:00 PM, at the Sadriddin Aini Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in Dushanbe, the Committee for Youth and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan will host an awards ceremony for youth work for 2025, as well as a celebration of the winners of competitions announced by the committee in 2025. This was reported by the Committee's press service.
At the ceremony, the "Courage and Youth" awards will be presented in recognition of the outstanding service and dedication of young people to society and the state, their courage and dedication in wartime, in situations threatening the security of the nation and state, as well as the performance of duties in the military and civil service.
In addition, the ceremony will also feature awards for winners of the Committee for Youth and Sports' prizes in the fields of literature, art, architecture, journalism, programming, engineering, technology, and innovation.
Nominees will also be recognized in the following categories: "Best Structure in the Sphere of Work with Youth in 2025," "Best Employee of a Human Rights Institution in the Sphere of Work with Youth," "Best Employee in the Sphere of Work with Youth," "Winner of the State Prize among Public Organizations Working with Youth in the Sphere of Youth Patriotism in 2025," and "Best Club under the Committee on Youth Affairs and Sports in 2025."
Every year, the Committee for Youth and Sports holds a competition for the Presidential Scholarship of the Republic of Tajikistan among students in secondary, primary, and secondary vocational schools. From a pool of 3,000 participants, winners are selected based on a set regional quota and awarded scholarships for nine months of the academic year. Twelve winners of this competition will be recognized at this year's ceremony.
The ceremony aims to encourage active youth, develop patriotism, creativity, and professional skills among the country's young citizens.
