In 2025, Tajikistan attracted 59.5 billion somoni in foreign investment, a 35 percent increase compared to 2024. These figures were announced at an extended government meeting chaired by President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda reported that the total volume of foreign trade in Tajikistan last year amounted to 77.3 billion somoni, which is 14 percent more than in 2024.
He also noted that in 2025, 280 thousand new jobs were created in the country from all sources.
Tax Committee Chairman Nusratullo Davlatzoda reported that 26.5 billion somoni were received into the state budget in 2025 from taxes and other payments, which is 3.598 billion somoni more than planned.
According to him, the implementation of the tax plan in certain regions of the country was: 104.3 percent in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, 103.1 percent in the Khatlon Region, 107.1 percent in the Sughd Region, 119.8 percent in the city of Dushanbe, and 109.5 percent in cities and districts of republican subordination.
It was also noted at the government meeting that in 2025, the country's banks issued 30 billion somoni in loans to develop the national economy and support the population.
