Barcelona beat Real Madrid in the final match of the Spanish Super Cup and became the winner of the tournament, which was held in Saudi Arabia.
El Clásico took place on Sunday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and ended 3-2 in favor of the Blaugrana. Rafinha scored twice for Barcelona (in the 36th and 73rd minutes), while Robert Lewandowski added another goal (45+4). Vinicius Júnior (45+2) and Gonzalo García (45+6) scored for Real Madrid.
Barcelona captain Frenkie de Jong was sent off in injury time.
The Spanish Super Cup was held in a Final Four format for the seventh time. Earlier in the semifinals, Barcelona, the champions and Copa del Rey holders, crushed Athletic Bilbao 5-0, while Real Madrid, the runners-up and Copa del Rey finalists, defeated Atlético 2-1.
Barcelona won the Spanish Super Cup for the 16th time, setting a new tournament record. Real Madrid has won it 13 times.
