A meeting to review the performance of the Municipal State Institution "National Center for Patents and Information" of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2025 was held on January 8, 2026, with the participation of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safaroli, the management, heads of departments, and employees of the institution. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
The director of the institution, Ismoilzoda Mirzo Khaidarbek, presented a detailed report on the results of the institution’s activities for the reporting period in the form of a presentation.
It was noted that, in the context of sustainable development in the industrial property sector, strengthening and expanding international cooperation, as well as improving the quality of work and services provided, the institution has accomplished significant work.
It was emphasized that during the reporting period, the institution primarily focused on fulfilling the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, regarding the integration of inventions into production, digitalization of the industry, improvement of operations and promotion of an effective work system, as well as ensuring the high-quality implementation of the instructions of the Government of the country through the implementation of a number of specific plans.



It is reported that, through the initiative, assistance, and coordination of the institution, the participation of the country's inventors and innovators in various international competitions and exhibitions was ensured, as a result of which the participants took prizes and were awarded well-deserved awards.
Overall, thanks to the implementation of a number of useful measures, growth in industrial property indicators is expected in 2025.
During the reporting period, 173 applications for the first patent for an invention were received, which is 55 applications, or 47 percent, more than in the same period last year.



A total of 1,210 applications were received for trademark registration through the national procedure, an increase of 282 applications, or 30 percent, compared to last year. A total of 2,376 applications were received through the international procedure, an increase of 34 applications compared to last year.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abdurakhmonzoda A.S. noted that the institution's overall performance during the reporting period, taking into account the achieved indicators and significant achievements in the industry, was assessed positively. Emphasizing these results, the corresponding instructions were given to the institution's management, and proposals and recommendations were voiced for the further development of the industry.
