On January 7, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with candidates nominated for the positions of mayors of several cities and districts across the country, as well as heads of other government agencies. This was reported by the presidential press service.
Based on the results of the analysis of the country's national economic performance in 2025, the deputy chairman of the Khatlon region, the chairmen of the cities and districts of Kulob, Jaykhun, Mir Said Ali Hamadoni, Khovaling, Isfara, Istaravshan, Spitamen, Bobojon Gafurov and Rudaki, as well as the chairman and deputy chairmen of the Local Development Committee under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan were dismissed from their positions.



New personnel, both young and experienced, have been appointed to the vacated positions. These personnel changes are aimed at further strengthening the country's administrative structures and improving the efficiency of local governments.
