An agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of Japan on the promotion and mutual protection of investments was signed in Tokyo, according to the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan.
On the Tajik side, the document was signed by the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sulton Rahimzoda, and on the Japanese side, by Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi.
The purpose of the agreement is to create a favorable investment environment, ensure the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of investors, and strengthen bilateral economic and investment cooperation.
The implementation of the agreement is expected to contribute to attracting more investment, expanding business activity and strengthening economic ties between the Republic of Tajikistan and Japan.
