In pursuit of strengthening bilateral cooperation in education and science, a meeting between delegations from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China took place in Dushanbe. The press service of the Tajik ministry reported this.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues for strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation in education and science. Specifically, the focus was on developing cooperation in higher education, sharing the experience of teachers and researchers, engaging students in joint educational and scientific programs, and the use of modern technologies in the educational process.
The head of the Department of Professional and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry, H. Saidzoda, emphasized in his speech that the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan is building cooperation with the People's Republic of China on the basis of important international documents, including the Treaty on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People's Republic of China (January 15, 2007), the Agreement between the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China on cooperation in the field of education (February 1, 2002), as well as the Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Diplomas in Education and Scientific Degrees (June 5, 2024) and other regulatory legal acts.



Representatives of the Chinese side expressed their readiness to continue constructive cooperation, increase the number of scholarships for Tajik students, expand Chinese language curricula, create joint educational and scientific centers, and support innovative initiatives in institutions of professional higher education in the Republic of Tajikistan.
In addition, the parties discussed prospects for implementing existing agreements, preparing new cooperation documents, and strengthening ties between higher education institutions and research centers of the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed hope for further expansion of cooperation in the field of education, facilitating the implementation of new joint projects, improving the level and quality of education, developing scientific research potential, and strengthening effective ties between higher education institutions of the two countries.
