Since the beginning of 2025, more than 380 tons of expired and substandard goods have been destroyed in Tajikistan, according to the Agency for Standardization, Metrology, Certification, and Trade Inspection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Tojikstandart.
The destroyed products included confectionery, food supplements, mineral water, dates, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Non-food items, including construction materials, laundry detergents, paints, and other products that did not meet established requirements, were also confiscated and destroyed.

The Agency noted that the destruction of such goods is carried out to protect the consumer market, prevent the import and sale of low-quality products or products that are dangerous to the life and health of citizens, and to completely remove such goods from circulation.
In addition, Tojikstandart called on consumers to refrain from purchasing questionable goods and to contact the Agency if their rights are violated.
