Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon announced that more than 2,600 industrial enterprises were built and commissioned in the country between 2019 and 2025, creating over 87,000 jobs. The head of state made this announcement during his address to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the President, 400 new manufacturing plants will begin operations in 2025. Thus, as part of the country's strategic goal of accelerated industrialization, new jobs are being created and industrial capacity is being developed.
Emomali Rahmon emphasized that 75 years before 1991, only 358 industrial enterprises operated in Tajikistan, employing approximately 33,000 people. He noted that over the past ten years, the number of industrial and manufacturing enterprises has increased significantly, demonstrating the dynamic development of the country's industrial sector.
The President noted that the expansion of industrial production and the creation of new enterprises contribute to economic growth, increased employment, and improved living standards.
