On December 8, 2025, at the initiative of local and regional offices of the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, conferences and meetings were organized and held in the cities of Khorog, Kulob, Bokhtar, Khujand, and Panjakent to mark International Anti-Corruption Day. Representatives from various industries, public activists, and residents of the regions participated in the events, according to the Agency's press center.








During the meetings, participants discussed the origins of corruption and the stages of the adoption of the United Nations Convention against Corruption. They emphasized the importance of joint efforts to combat this negative phenomenon and focused on fostering anti-corruption awareness among citizens.
The main purpose of holding such events is to attract public attention to the problems of combating corruption, to raise anti-corruption awareness among citizens, to prevent corruption offenses and to ensure the implementation of anti-corruption laws and state programs.
It is noted that, thanks to the policies of President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, a solid organizational and legal framework for combating corruption has been established in the country. Agency representatives emphasized that every citizen must contribute to the implementation of the country's leadership's policies in this area.
The events were held at a high organizational level, and their results are expected to be an important step towards strengthening legal awareness and fostering public intolerance towards corruption.
