Dushanbe police officers detained a group of teenagers who were disturbing the peace by using fireworks and making loud noises, according to the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The investigation was prompted by a video sent by a city resident, which captured minors using fireworks in a Dushanbe district. Officers from the Sino District Department of Internal Affairs No. 2 for minors discovered that the teenagers had purchased fireworks (specifically, sparklers) from a store and, after removing the powder, struck the fireworks with a stone, causing a loud explosion.
As the agency notes, such actions not only disturb public peace but also pose a threat of physical harm to minors themselves.
Following the investigation, administrative protocols were drawn up against the parents of six teenagers under Article 90 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan, which provides for liability for improper child-rearing responsibilities.
The Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs has once again called on citizens, especially parents, not to leave children unattended and to monitor their behavior to prevent similar incidents.
