The Second International Mining and Metallurgy Forum of Tajikistan, a major international industry event held under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, will be held on December 9 in Dushanbe, the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan reported.
At a press briefing held on December 4 at the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, dedicated to preparations for the upcoming forum, information was presented on the significance of the event, Tajikistan's capabilities in the mining industry, partners, and key participants in the forum.
It was noted that the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, with the support of relevant government agencies and the country's leading industrial companies, will promote Tajikistan's capabilities in mineral extraction and processing, develop international cooperation, and strengthen the industry's investment potential. The forum will serve as a central platform for discussing the current state and development prospects of the mining industry, where representatives of the public sector, private businesses, and international partners will be able to exchange experiences and plans.
"The goal of the forum is to present Tajikistan's mineral resource potential to the international community, demonstrate the wide range of available resources, including non-ferrous metals and critical minerals, and identify promising projects and investment opportunities. Particular attention will be paid to the implementation of modern international geological reporting standards, the use of innovative technologies, the digitalization of processes, and the improvement of industry licensing mechanisms," the briefing emphasized.
The forum's program includes plenary sessions, discussion panels, expert presentations, B2B meetings, and consultations on joint ventures. The event will facilitate direct dialogue between business representatives, investors, and government agencies, accelerating the preparation and implementation of investment projects in the mining industry.
More than 20 leading Tajik mining companies and over 200 international participants, including investors, technological equipment manufacturers, international experts, and representatives of financial institutions, are expected to attend.
