Bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey towards the sustainable development of higher education was discussed during a meeting between Tajikistan's Minister of Education and Science, Rahim Saidzoda, and the Chairman of the Council of Higher Education of Turkey, Erol Ozvar, according to the press center of the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation in higher education, developing educational infrastructure, exchanging scientific experience, and expanding academic ties between higher education institutions of the two countries.
Rahim Saidzoda expressed gratitude for the mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at improving the quality of higher education, emphasizing that bilateral cooperation is of great importance for the sustainable development of the higher education system.
It was noted that several joint projects are being implemented within the framework of existing cooperation, including the creation of joint study programs (Turkish Scholarship) and student exchanges. These initiatives contribute to strengthening scientific ties, developing professional competencies, and raising the level of education.
Erol Özvar emphasized the need to expand cooperation in developing medical specialties and intensify joint projects in innovative technologies, artificial intelligence, and digitalization of education. He also noted that Turkey is ready to initiate new programs aimed at increasing human resource potential and developing priority specialties.
Erol Ozvar also expressed the readiness of the Turkish Council of Higher Education to support the modernization of the technical infrastructure of technical universities, the allocation of scholarships for master's and doctoral studies, and the creation of additional opportunities for Tajik teachers to participate in advanced training courses and professional educational programs.
