The final round of the international project "100 Ideas for the CIS"—a competition for youth from the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States—was held in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan. The project was approved by the Decision of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS on June 1, 2018.
Sunatullo Akhmadovich Sharifov, a surgeon at the Dushanbe City Center for Emergency Medical Care, competed in the "Medicine and Healthcare" category at the event. He presented his project on the implementation of a surgical clamp and was recognized as the best and awarded the title of winner in this category, according to the press service of the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan.
Sunnatullo Sharifzoda said he dedicates his victory to the people of Tajikistan and the progress of the country's medical science.
The competition is organized and conducted in accordance with the Agreement of the CIS Member States on Cooperation in Youth Affairs, as well as within the framework of the CIS International Cooperation Strategy. The project's goal is to identify and support innovative youth initiatives aimed at the socioeconomic development of CIS countries.
