An event entitled "The Role of the Family in the Spiritual Maturity of a Child" was held at the National Library of Tajikistan as part of the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Responsibility for the Education and Upbringing of a Child."
As reported to NIAT Khovar by the National Library, the event's participants exchanged views on the importance of family in raising a child, as well as the influence of books and reading on the character development and spiritual development of adolescents.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Academician Bobojon Gafurov's historical work "Tajiks" and Abulqosim Firdawsi's poem "Shahnameh" play an important role in the education of the younger generation. These works contribute to the development of national identity, respect for ancestors, and the inculcation of a sense of patriotism.
"Our mothers sang lullabies and told their children fairy tales and legends. Reading the Shahnameh also contributes to children's spiritual development, as introducing adolescents and young adults to books and reading can protect them from the influence of an alien culture," the conference participants noted.
Particular attention was paid to the role of parents in raising children, fostering friendships with worthy peers, and creating conditions for a comprehensive education. Parents are encouraged to demonstrate love and care, instilling respect and moral values in their children.
