A delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the III International Scientific and Practical Conference "Universities – New Centers of Attraction for Science, Business, and Society," which is being held November 11–12, 2025, at the Minsk City Technology Park, according to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Nasriddinzoda Rukhshona Hikmatullo addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech. She noted that the development of an innovation ecosystem and effective interaction between universities, research centers, and businesses are key factors in the sustainable economic growth of the CIS countries.
The speech emphasized that the Republic of Tajikistan places particular importance on the implementation of the Interstate Program for Innovative Cooperation of the CIS Member States through 2030. The program aims to create a unified scientific and technological space and enhance the competitiveness of the economies of the Commonwealth.
The conference also discussed the commercialization of research and development (R&D) results. Key challenges and prospects for cooperation within the CIS countries were identified, including the need to strengthen innovation support mechanisms, expand private sector participation, and develop cross-border research projects.
The organizers noted that holding such international events facilitates the exchange of experience, the development of partnerships, and the practical implementation of joint initiatives in science, education, and innovation.
